Amar Doman is the founder and sole shareholder of The Futura Corp. Along with his team he has led and completed over 12 acquisitions and has brought the company to it's current level of over $1,500,000,000 in revenues and close to 2000 employees, directly or indirectly, through investments and outright ownership. Amar's tireless dedication to creating shareholder value and his vision for long term thinking when investing or buying companies outright has built The Futura Corporation into one of the largest and fastest growing companies in Canada.
As Chairman of the Board of Directors of CanWel Building Materials Income Fund (CWX.UN), and CEO of The Futura Corporation, Amar Doman brings over 20 years of experience in building materials, specialty lumber and re-manufacturing industries, and public and private investments. He is also the youngest ever Board member to hold a seat on both the Board of Directors of the Canadian Institute of Treated Wood and the Building Supply Dealers Association of B.C. In 2005 Ernst & Young nominated Amar for the Entrepreneur of the Year, where he won in the business to business category (West).
